LBCC Women's Water Remains Undefeated in Conference in a 14-2 Win Over Pasadena

The Long Beach City College women's water polo team returned to its home pond for conference action against the Pasadena City College Lancers on Wednesday afternoon. Since the opening sprint, the Vikings were in control from wire to wire en route to a 14-2 win over the Lancers.

Long Beach wasted no time by hoping out to a 4-0 lead to begin the contest. Freshman center Victoria Johnson (Long Beach, CA) got the ball rolling with two goals, while sophomore attacker Natalie Nilan (Downey, CA) and sophomore center Burdette Forsch (Yorba Linda, CA) each added a goal.

The Vikings continued to cruise in the second quarter with freshman attacker Lindsey Mizrahi (Cypress, CA) netting two goals to push their lead to 8-1 entering into halftime.

A plethora of Vikings chipped in on the scoring action in the second half, with Forsch burying two more scores, while freshman attacker Samantha Wooley (Schaumburg, IL) and freshman defender Kaitlyn Moore (Long Beach, CA) recording a goal en route to the victory.

Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Bennett (Long Beach, CA) hauled in the win with seven saves.

The Vikings (11-7, 5-0 SCC) will continue conference action on Wednesday, October 12 by facing off against Chaffey at 3 p.m.
