The Long Beach City College women's water polo team hosted the Mt. San Antonio Mounties for their last game of the regular season on Wednesday afternoon in hopes of maintaining a flawless conference record. The Viking accomplished that goal with ease after leading wire-to-wire en route to a 9-6 victory over the Mounties.

The Vikings got off to a hot start by firing off two goals compliments of Burdette Forsch and Samantha Wooley, respectfully. Forsch continued to add another score, followed by an impressive netter from Natalie Nilan to grab a quick 4-1 advantage.

The Mounties attempted to come back by outscoring the Vikings in the second half with the lone LBCC goal coming from the hot hand of Victoria Johnson, bringing a 5-3 lead into halftime.

Nevertheless, Long Beach looked to Johnson to lead them in the second half, as she busted out of the gates for three, third-period scores. Forsch added another score in the third as well en route to a 9-6 win.

The Vikings (16-10, 6-0 SCC) will hold the top seed in the South Coast Conference Championships starting Thursday, November 3 at Pasadena City College.
