The Long Beach City College women's water polo team sophomore attacker Lauren Westphal has signed a National Letter of Intent to further her education and water polo career at NCAA Division II Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania.

This season with the Vikings, Westphal helped the Vikings earn their fourth consecutive South Coast Conference title after an undefeated 10-0 conference showing and a SoCal Regional playoff berth. On the season, she totaled 17 steals, 28 assists and 16 goals for the Vikings.

The Golden Knights are led by third-year Head Coach Shane Unger and participate in the Women's Water Polo Association.
