The Long Beach City College women's water polo team is excited to announce that sophomore attacker Sydney Brightenburg has signed a National Letter of Intent to further her education and water polo career at the NCAA Division I Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.

This past season, Brightenburg was a star for the Vikings as she helped lead the team to their fourth-consecutive South Coast Conference (SCC) title. She totaled 73 goals with 18 assists and 20 steals, which earned her First-Team All-SCC, Second-Team All-SoCal and All-American accolades.

The Iona College Gaels are led by 25^th year Head Coach Brian Kelly and compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
