2012 LBCC Women's Cross Country News

Sophomore Valerie Nettles (pictured) ran 23:33.12 to finish in 43rd place to lead the Long Beach City College women’s cross country team at the 2012 South Coast Conference Championships on Thursday at Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

Freshman Diana Ramos (pictured) ran 23:44 for 16th place to lead the Long Beach City College women’s cross country team at the San Diego Invitational at Mission Bay Park on Friday.

With the temperature near 100 degrees, Long Beach City College totaled 740 points to finish in 25th place out of 27 teams at the Orange Coast Classic at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa on Saturday. Freshman Diana Ramos (left) and sophomore Valerie Nettles (right) had top times for LBCC.

Action continued for the Long Beach City College women’s cross country team as the Vikings had four individuals compete at the Palomar Invitational at Guajome Park in Oceanside on Friday. Freshman Diana Ramos led LBCC with her 49th place finish.

The Long Beach City College women’s cross country team opened the 2012 schedule at the UC San Diego Season Opener meet. Sophomore Valerie Nettles (pictured) led LBCC with her 68th place finish.
