Women’s Cross Country: Ceballos leads Long Beach at SoCal Preview meet
Long Beach City College freshman Alexis Ceballos ran 20:32.3 to finish in 57th place to lead the Vikings at the Southern California Preview meet on Friday morning at Woodley Park in Van Nuys.

As a squad, Long Beach finished in 20th place out of 26 teams with a 534 points. It was the first time this season that LBCC fielded a complete team with five runners.
Freshman Alexus Quezada (Lakewood HS) was next for Long Beach, finishing in 109th place with a time of 22:14.2 on the 5,000 meter course.

Glendale Community College won the women's team title with 51 points while East Los Angeles College's Laura Aceves was the top individual, clearing the course with a time of 18:11.7.
Long Beach returns to action next Friday (Sep. 26) when it will compete at the Golden West Central Park Classic in Huntington Beach.
