The Long Beach City College women's cross country team finished 5^th Overall at the Mt. Sac Cross Country Invitational in Walnut Friday.

Ailene Rios led the women with a 32^nd overall 5k finish with a season best time 21:56. She finished 3 spots ahead of teammate Joycelyn Guiterrez who finished 35^th place with her season best performance 22:07. Sophomore Vanessa Washington was our third Viking and finished 39^th (23:09).

Other finishers included Elisa Coto (28:12) and Kimberly Orellana (34:18).

The host team Mt. Sac won the team event with 31 points. Danielle Salcedo of Canyons was the top finisher with a time of 18:26. LBCC will compete next at the South Coast Conference Championships on October 29^th at  Charles H Wilson Park in Torrance.
