The No. 4 LBCC men's volleyball team experienced some tough sledding against the No. 2 Orange Coast College Pirates at home by being defeated in three sets by the final scores reading 17-25, 16-25, and 18-25.

Despite the outcome, there were numerous bright spots in the contest. Freshman outside hitter Cyrus Fa'alogo (Salt Lake City, UT) landed in double-digit kills for the sixth-straight game by hammering home 13. Sophomore outside hitter Travis O'Gorman (East Northport, NY) and freshman opposite Steven Rotter (La Palma, CA) combined for eight kills.

Sophomore libero David Escobedo (Los Angeles, CA) was phenominal on the defensive side by notching 10 tough digs, while sophomore setter Jayce Ashment (Gilbert, AZ) lead the way with 12 assists.

The Vikings (3-3) will venture on to host the Moorpark College Raiders on Wednesday, February 22nd at home at 6 p.m.
