Men’s Cross Country: Vikings finish fourth at SCC Championships, advance to SoCal Regionals

With a team score of 111 points, the Long Beach City College men’s cross country team finished in fourth place at the South Coast Conference Championships in Palos Verdes Estates on Friday. With their showing, the Vikings also qualified for next week’s Southern California Regional Championships.

Men’s Cross Country: Long Beach finishes in 10th place at Mt. SAC Relays

The Long Beach City College men’s cross country team totaled 320 points to finish in 10th place out of 18 teams at the 68th annual Mt. SAC Relays on Friday. Sophomore Tylor Wallace (pictured) ran 22:49 on the four-mile Mt. San Antonio College course to lead the Vikings with his 56th place finish.

Men’s Cross Country: Vikings finish 20th at Southern California Preview Meet

The Long Beach City College men’s cross country team totaled 570 points to finish in 20th place out of a loaded 30-team field at Friday’s Southern California Preview Meet in San Diego. Sophomore Gerardo Salazar (pictured, left) led the Vikings with a time of 23:10.0 on the four-mile Mission Bay Park course to finish in 94th place.

Men’s Cross Country: Vikings finish seventh at highly-competitive Fresno Invitational

The Long Beach City College men’s cross country team got a sneak preview at this season’s state championship course as the Vikings totaled 243 points to finish in seventh place out of 17 teams at the Fresno Invitational at Woodward Park on Friday. Once again, sophomore Gerardo Salazar led the Vikings with his 19th-place finish.
