The Long Beach City College men’s cross country team got a sneak preview at this season’s state championship course as the Vikings totaled 243 points to finish in seventh place out of 17 teams at the Fresno Invitational at Woodward Park on Friday. Once again, sophomore Gerardo Salazar led the Vikings with his 19th-place finish.

Sophomore Gerardo Salazar (Lakewood HS) led the Vikings with his seventh-place finish as he cleared the four-mile Fairbanks Cross Country Course with a time of 23:24.0.
