Sophomore Jo'Lon Clark (pictured) posted 17 kills but it wasn't enough as Long Beach City College suffered a 3-1 loss to Grossmont College in the semifinals of the 2013 CCCAA Men's Volleyball State Championships.

Freshman Austin Arcala had 13 kills and 11 digs to help lead the Long Beach City College men’s volleyball team to an impressive 25-23, 25-17, 25-22 win on Tuesday over visiting Orange Coast College in a quarterfinal match of the 2013 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Men’s Volleyball State Championship.

The defending state champion Long Beach City College men’s volleyball team continued its unbeaten streak to open the season as the Vikings swept visiting San Diego Mesa College on Wednesday night. LBCC won the match by scores of 25-19, 29-27, 25-17 to improve to 3-0 overall.

The defending state champion Long Beach City College men's volleyball team came out on top of a big early-season match by beating Golden West College on the road in five sets on Friday night by scores of 31-33, 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, and 15-12. Sophomore Greg Utupo (pictured) had 16 kills in the win.
