The Long Beach City College women's volleyball team picked up its second win out of three matches as the Vikings earned a marathon 3-2 victory over visiting East Los Angeles College on Friday night at LBCC. Freshman Mary Delgado (pictured) had 35 assists and 14 digs in the win.

Women’s Volleyball: Vikings’ sweep at LA Harbor snaps three-match losing streak

Freshman Alexxis Todd (Lynwood HS) totaled 11 kills to help lead the Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win at Los Angeles Harbor College on Friday night. The 25-16, 25-14, 25-6 victory snapped a three-match losing streak and improved the Vikings to 4-13 overall and 2-5 in South Coast Conference play.

Women's Volleyball: Long Beach pushes No. 19 Pasadena to five sets

Looking to score its biggest upset of the season, the Long Beach City College women's volleyball team came up just short in falling to No. 19 state-ranked Pasadena City College 3-2 on Friday at LBCC. Long Beach lost the South Coast Conference match by scores of 27-25, 25-14, 22-25, 21-25, and 15-3 to fall to 3-12 overall and 1-4 in the SCC.

Coming off a win on Friday, the Long Beach City College women’s volleyball couldn’t keep that momentum going as the Vikings suffered a 3-0 loss at No. 6 state-ranked El Camino College on Wednesday. LBCC lost the South Coast Conference match by scores of 25-16, 25-10, and 25-22 to fall to 3-11 overall and 1-3 in the SCC.

The Long Beach City College women’s volleyball team snapped a six-match losing streak thanks to a 25-16, 25-16, 25-18 South Coast Conference win over visiting Los Angeles Trade-Tech College on Friday at LBCC. The sweep improved the Vikings to 3-10 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
