John E. Kashiwabara, M.D. (Team Physician, 1956-88): Kashiwabara is a meritorious selection after 33 years of dedication to the health needs of all LBCC athletes. Kashiwabara served as LBCC’s volunteer team physician from 1956-70 and was LBCC’s Director of Health Services from 1971-88. His involvement with LBCC athletics continues even after retirement. He is currently involved in both LBCC’s football and basketball booster programs and is a Hall of Champions diamond donor. In 1991, he was the LBCC Foundation Athletic Associates Golf Tournament honoree. Kashiwabara is also a Foundation Trustee Emeritus.
