Baseball: Vikings move to 2-0 in conference with 6-4 win over Pasadena

Long Beach City College took Game 2 of a three-game South Coast Conference series from Pasadena City College at home on Thursday, winning by a final score of 6-4. The victory improved the Vikings to 10-7 overall and 2-0 in the SCC.

Baseball: Long Beach sweeps two-game Antelope Valley series

Long Beach City College closed out the week with a two-game sweep of the Antelope Valley College Marauders. On Tuesday, the Vikings cruised to a 7-1 win at home and picked up a 5-2 victory on the road in Lancaster on Thursday to improve to 8-6 overall.

Casey Crook began his coaching career at Long Beach City College in 1993. One year later, he took over as head coach of the Viking Baseball program. 23 years and 514 career wins later, Crook has surpassed LBCC coaching legend Joe Hicks as the college's all-time wins leader thanks to the Vikings' 8-0 non-conference victory at Irvine Valley College on Tuesday.
