Freshman Ikko Saito, a member of the 2013 state champion Long Beach City College men’s water polo team, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of the Pacific this coming fall.

The honors for Long Beach City College men’s water polo freshman goalie Lazar Andric continue to pour in as he was recently named the CCCAA/CCCSIA Male Athlete of the Month for November following an impressive postseason for the Vikings.

Long Beach City College captured its 12th South Coast Conference title over the last 14 years thanks to an 11-9 win over Cerritos College on Saturday in the SCC final at Pasadena City College. One day later following the conference championship win, LBCC was awarded the top seed for next week’s Southern California Regional Championships at nearby Cerritos.

Facing its toughest competition of the season, the LBCC men’s water polo team suffered a pair of losses at the Pepperdine Invitational on Saturday. The Vikings fell 11-5 in an exhibition loss to host Pepperdine University and then lost 9-6 to rival Golden West College. Sophomore Jason Lee (pictured) scored twice against Pepperdine.

The state's top-ranked Long Beach City College men's water polo team came from behind to defeat No. 7 Cerritos College by a final score of 14-9 in a key South Coast Conference game in Norwalk on Wednesday.

The Long Beach City College men's water polo team went 4-0 over the weekend to take first place at the highly competitive Cuesta College Invitational. Goalie Lazar Andric had 10 saves while Jason Lee scored three goals in the win over Golden West.
