Trevor Baker (Golf, 1986 & 1987): Baker was named conference player of the year as a member of LBCC’s 1986 state championship squad. As a sophomore in 1987, he helped lead the Vikings to a second-place state championships finish. Following LBCC, Baker stayed local to play at Long Beach State where he was the 49ers’ top player for two seasons. In 1991, Baker set the course record (which stood until 2006) at Virginia Country Club with an amazing round of 62. Baker is currently the PGA Head Professional at Virginia Country Club and also serves as a volunteer coach to numerous City of Long Beach youth programs.
