Kari Jondle-Burke (Basketball & Volleyball, 1981-83): Jondle helped lead the LBCC women’s basketball team to Metropolitan Conference championships in 1982 and 1983. As a sophomore in 1983, she completed one of the finest seasons in school history. She was named conference most valuable player as she set single-season school records (which have since been broken) for points scored (546), and field goals made (214). Her 59 percent field goal percentage for the season as well as her 27 double-digit scoring games in 1983 still stand as records at LBCC. Jondle was named to the 1983 All-Southern California Regional tournament team.
