Former Long Beach City College head coach Patty Gasso captured her second NCAA Women’s College World Series National Championship after leading Oklahoma University to a pair of wins over the University of Tennessee in the championship series final.

Long Beach City College closed out the regular-season schedule on Wednesday with a 2-1 loss at Palomar College. With the loss, the Vikings finished in third place in the South Coast Conference standings at 14-7 and 24-15 overall.
