Nicki Kephart-Trimble (Softball, 1992 & 1993): Kephart-Trimble established herself as one of the best pitchers in LBCC softball history. She helped lead the Vikings to South Coast Conference titles and back-to-back fourth place finishes at the state championships in 1992 and 1993. As a freshman, she was named All-SCC and during her sophomore year she earned conference pitcher of the year, all-state, as well as All-American honors. During her two seasons, she broke every LBCC pitching record and currently ranks either first or second in 10 categories. In 1993, she won 28 games, had 234 strikeouts, a 0.35 earned run average, tossed 22 shutouts, and pitched four no-hitters. For her career, she won 39 games, compiled 320 strikeouts, a 0.43 career ERA, had 27 shutouts, and threw seven no-hitters. Following LBCC, Kephart-Trimble took her talents to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette in 1994. She closed her season with a 16-1 record with an ERA of 0.86. She pitched six shutouts, including a perfect game.
