Keith Cordes (Football, 1957-58): Cordes was the Vikings’ starting defensive lineman as a freshman and sophomore before moving on to the University of Washington. At UW, he was a two-year starter and helped the Huskies win 20 games and two Rose Bowl championships. Cordes was named the squad’s most inspirational senior following the 1960 season. He was inducted in the UW Hall of Fame along with the entire 1959 team in 1994. He was twice named to the U.S. Army All-Europe team in 1961 and 1962. Following his playing days, Cordes was a defensive line coach at Long Beach Jordan High School (1968-72) and Long Beach State University (1970) before completing a 24-year career as a FBI agent (1972-96).
