Hank Kraychir (Track and Field, 1982): Kraychir had an impressive season in his only year at LBCC in 1982. Kraychir won state, Southern California, and conference championships in the shot put and discus. He was named all-state and All-American and set the California junior college record in the shot put with a toss of 64-7 ½. Following LBCC, he transferred to USC and competed on its track squad for two seasons (1983-84) where he was a two-time All-American in the shot put and discus. Kraychir recorded the best ever ambidextrous throws in the shot put (126-7) and discus (375-8). In 1985, he was a member of the USA Track and Field team and in 2002 won the USA Master’s discus championship.
