Bill Meyers (Football, 1967-68): Meyers had his break out year in 1968 as a sophomore when he earned all-conference and All-American honors for the Vikings. He served as LBCC team co-captain and was a member of the ASB cabinet. Meyers continued his playing career at Stanford University and started in two Rose Bowl games (1971-72) for the Cardinal. Meyers began a career as an assistant coach at the collegiate level at the University of California (Berkeley) in 1972 before taking jobs at Santa Clara University and Notre Dame. In 1981, he accepted his first NFL coaching job as an assistant with the Green Bay Packers. He went on to coach in the NFL from 1981-2000 with the Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, and the New Orleans Saints.
