Long Beach City College freshman forward Tim Harty (pictured) scored a pair of goals to help lead the No. 12-seeded Vikings to a 3-2 opening-round Southern California Regionals Playoff win over No. 5 East Los Angeles College on Saturday night.

The Long Beach City College men’s soccer team has received an at-large bid into the 2011 Southern California Regionals Playoffs. The LBCC men earned the No. 12 seed and will travel to face No. 5 East Los Angeles College in a first-round match on Saturday (Nov. 19) at 6 pm.

Freshman forward Tim Harty (pictured) scored a pair of goals to provide all the offense in a 2-0 Long Beach City College win over visiting Pasadena City College on Tuesday. The South Coast Conference win improved LBCC to 7-6-6 overall and 4-5-4 in the SCC.
