Jeff Smith, who established state records in the shot put in 1963 and 1964 while winning conference, Southern California and state titles. He was also a two-time All-American football lineman and transferred to the University of Southern California. An All-Pacific-8 linebacker for John McKay in 1964-65, Smith was selected for the Shrine East-West and College All-American All-Star games before spending two seasons with the New York Giants.
