Toni Bell-Skeen, the first LBCC woman athlete to receive an athletic scholarship to a four-year college. She averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds per game as the Vikings’ MVP in 1976, as well as 20 points and eight boards per game the following year, when she was selected all-conference and All-Southern California. She also played softball and batted .375 in 1977, receiving all-league honors. She would transfer to Long Beach State and was named all-conference honorable mention in 1979.
