Dave Frost, a standout in
basketball and a starting pitcher in baseball who was the league
MVP for the 1970-71 state championship basketball team. He played
both sports for three years at Stanford University before he was
drafted by the Chicago White Sox. In 1979 Frost won 16 games for
the American League Western Division champion California Angels and
was
voted the team’s Most Valuable Pitcher.
