Damion Easley, a member of the Viking baseball program (1988-89) and was team MVP, first team All-South Coast Conference and second team All-State as a sophomore. He was drafted by the California Angels and played on the major league team from 1992-96. With the Detroit Tigers (1996-2002), Easley led American League second basemen in home runs in 1997 and fielding percentage in 1998, when he was selected to the All-Star Game. Easley also played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2003), Florida Marlins (2004-05), Arizona Diamondbacks (2006), and New York Mets (2007-08).
