Men’s Soccer: Vikings celebrate conference championship season at team awards banquet

The Long Beach City College men’s soccer team recently celebrated its 2015 South Coast Conference championship season by recognizing its team and individual accomplishments at its annual awards banquet.

Long Beach City College men’s soccer standouts Rafael Arroyo and Rodrigo Castellanos have signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo next fall.

After capturing a South Coast Conference championship for the first time since 2006, the Long Beach City College men’s soccer team was honored with 11 All-SCC postseason awards.

Men's Soccer: LBCC ends season with 2-1 overtime playoff loss at Oxnard

The South Coast Conference Long Beach City College men's soccer team saw its season come to an end with a 2-1 loss in overtime at Oxnard College on Saturday in an opening round game of the Southern California Regional Playoffs. It was the second straight year that the two squads needed extra time to decide the playoff winner.

Men's Soccer: Long Beach named No. 11 seed for SoCal Regionals, get first-round rematch at No. 6 Oxnard

The South Coast Conference champion Long Beach City College men's soccer team has received the No. 11 seed for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs and will travel to face No. 6 Oxnard College in an opening-round game on Saturday (Nov. 21) at 2 p.m.

Men's Soccer: Long Beach wraps up first South Coast Conference championship since 2006

Needing a win or a tie to keep its lead in the South Coast Conference standings, the Long Beach City College men's soccer erased a 2-0 second-half deficit to pull out a 2-2 draw at Pasadena City College on Tuesday night. LBCC's tie combined with second-place Mt. San Antonio College's loss wrapped up the Vikings' first conference championship since 2006.

Men’s Soccer: Vikings knock off No. 4 nationally-ranked Mt. SAC 1-0 to take over first place in SCC

The Long Beach City College men’s soccer team extended its winning streak to seven games as the Vikings upset No. 4 nationally-ranked Mt. San Antonio College 1-0 on Friday at LBCC. With the victory, the Vikings take over sole possession of first place in the South Coast Conference.

Men's Soccer: Vikings surge to sixth straight win, set up showdown with Mt. SAC on Friday

The Long Beach City College men's soccer team erased a first-half deficit and rallied to beat visiting Los Angeles Harbor College 3-1 in a South Coast Conference game at LBCC on Tuesday. The Vikings' sixth consecutive win moved Long Beach into a first-place tie atop the SCC standings.

Men’s Soccer: Long Beach defeats El Camino 3-1 for fifth straight win

Sophomore Evair Marin (Cabrillo HS) had a goal and an assist to help lead the surging Long Beach City College men’s soccer team to a 3-1 win at El Camino College on Friday. The South Coast Conference victory was the Vikings’ fifth straight and seventh out of their last eight games.

Men’s Soccer: Vikings keep pace in SCC with 3-2 win at Cerritos

The Long Beach City College men’s soccer team picked up its third straight win, a 3-2 victory at rival Cerritos College on Friday in a key South Coast Conference game. With the conference win, Long Beach remains two points back of leader Mt. San Antonio College in the SCC standings.

Men’s Soccer: Vikings pick up 2-1 road win at East Los Angeles

The Long Beach City College men’s soccer team earned its second straight win, a 2-1 South Coast Conference victory at East Los Angeles College on Tuesday. With the win, LBCC improved to 8-5-1 overall and 4-3-0 in SCC play.

Men's Soccer: Vikings bounce back with 2-0 win over Pasadena

Long Beach City College evened its South Coast Conference record at 3-3 thanks to a 2-0 win over visiting Pasadena City College on Friday at LBCC. The Vikings, coming off a 2-0 loss at No. 10 nationally-ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Tuesday, improved to 7-5-1 overall.

The Long Beach City College men’s soccer team couldn’t hold an early lead and fell 2-1 at El Camino College Compton Center on Friday. The South Coast Conference loss was the Vikings’ third straight and dropped LBCC to 4-4-1 overall and 0-2-0 in SCC play.
